Judy Anderson
has been an event and charity auction manager in the government,
private, and nonprofit sectors for more than twenty-five years.
Power Productions was founded in 1992 and in 2002, a teaching
component was added for those wanting to learn more about event
and auction planning.
Anderson is currently the
executive director of the Sagebrush Classic, a high profile
culinary and golf event in Bend, Oregon with 20 celebrity chefs
and more than 1000 guests, and recently orchestrated the Off the
Vine Wine Gala & Auction in Tyler, Texas. In 2006, she
managed Portland State Universitys signature event, the Simon
Benson Awards Dinner honoring philanthropy, featuring Her Majesty
Queen Noor as keynote speaker.
During five years as
director for the Classic Wines Auction, one of the top ten charity
wine auctions in the United States, Anderson helped raise more
than $7,000,000 for charity, and in seven years as director of
Beaverton Good Neighbor Days, built the festival into a major
metropolitan event.
This varied
experience provides unique insights into the funding and execution
of events, as well as many entertaining stories to share in
speaking engagements and training classes.
Anderson holds a
Certificate in Festival & Event Management from the University of
Oregon and is the author of two reference books on events and
fundraising auctions.
Judy Anderson wrote the book on large
scale event planning literally. Over the years, I have had the
pleasure of working with Judy on many events and at a number of
venues. All of these events have been successful in their
fundraising and flawless in their
execution.
